Peter M. Penner (1880-1936) and Maria nee Friesen (1880-1945) had nine children. · David (1903-1984), a farmer and entrepreneur. Lived much of his life in Landmark, but also spent a few years in Lorette and many winters running logging operations in Manitoba bush camps. Enjoyed being unconventional and taking risks. Reflected fondly on his many winters in the bush camps. (obit and photos, biography) · Abram (1905-1991), a farmer and lumberman who spent most of his years in Landmark yet many winters at the bush camps. He married for a second time in his elderly years, following the death of his first wife from cancer. · Caroline (1906-1952), a homemaker, raising three sons: Melvin, Glen, and Dayton. · Walter (1909-1992), a farmer and lumberman, who spent most of his years in Landmark, yet thirty winters at bush camps. He was a people-person, an optimist, and a hard worker. · Katharina (1911-1955), a homemaker, raising eight children: Peter, Doreen, Bernice, Gordon, Mary Rose, Ruth, Stephen, and Karen. · Norman (1915-1986), a farmer and lumberman, who spent most of his years in Landmark, yet thirty five or so winters at bush camps with his brothers Abram and Walter. He had a love for nature and discipline in remaining fit eating healthily. · Archie (1917– 2007), a pastor, bible college and seminary professor, and author. He obtained his PhD from the University of Iowa in 1971. He resided most recently in Brandon, Manitoba with his wife Elvira. · Hazel (1926 - 1998) married at age 18 to Paul Satey and moved to Winnipeg and later to Edmonton. They had one child, Darleen. Hazel later reverted to her birth name of Georgianna Edna. · Ruby (1928– present) is a homemaker who raised six children: Diana, Donald, Phyllis, Larry, Garry, and Jarrod. She resides in Landmark, Manitoba, with her husband Archie Plett.
