Hochstadt, March 31

Among the children here there are many cases of the cold, otherwise the state of health is good. I. Loewen's wife is again healthy and also Loewen himself is in a condition to work a little. Thawing weather occurs now, so that it puts an end to sleigh driving. When I read the sad message of the death of the son of P. Flamings of Kansas in the "Rundschau", in my being a barely scarred over wound was opened because also some years ago our 1½ year old child fell off the cart and through this died.
