History of Landmark, Manitoba

 

Landmark is a hamlet in southeastern Manitoba with a population of about 900. It is a bedroom community for the city of Winnipeg, the provincial capital of Manitoba. The local economy is based largely upon agriculture. Demographically, the largest identifiable group in Landmark are Mennonites of Russian descent. The local Chamber of Commerce has highlighted that Landmark lies along the longitudinal centre of Canada.
