Heinrich F. Reimer (1818-1876)

Heinrich F. Reimer was born on February 8, 1818 in Muntau, Molotschna Colony, South Russia to Heinrich Reimer Sr. and Maria B. Fast. He was the third of fourteen children.

Heinrich F. Reimer married for the first time to Margaretha Enns of Tiegerweide. Two children were born of this marriage but both died. Margaretha died on November 28, 1842, three days after her birth of her youngest child.

Heinrich married for the second time to Helena F. Friesen. Seven children were born of this marriage. Helena died on September 27, 1859, the same day of the birth of her seventh child.

Heinrich married for the third time to Margaretha Warkentin. Nine children were born of this marriage.

In 1873 Heinrich was chosen together with Cornelius S. Plett to accompany his brother-in-law, Aeltester Peter P. Toews, to a meeting with Governor-General Totleben in Chortitza, regarding the emigration passes of the Kleine Gemeinde.

The family emigrated in 1875, weathering part of the winter in Ontario before proceeding to Manitoba in early 1876. He and family settled in Blumenhof, Manitoba.

Heinrich fell ill on January 17, 1876, and died a few weeks later, on February 8.
