Find out about my Bergmann and Wiens ancestry.

My great-parents were Abram P. Bergmann (1884-1971) and Katharina nee Wiens (1887-1980) (bio).

Abram’s parents were Peter J. Bergmann and Elisabeth nee Toews (bios).

Katharina’s parents were Gerhard Wiens (1859-1904) and Sarah nee Regehr (1862-1933) (bios).

Katharina’s maternal grandparents were David Regehr and Katharina nee Warkentin (bios) The Steinbach Estate in Molotschna where the David Regehrs raised their family.

The Bergmann genealogy back to 1741 is preserved thanks to a family register in the Heinrich Barkmann Arithmetic Book, 1826.
