  • A Look at the Past: The Memories of Heinrich Wiens, by Heinrich Wiens, privately published, 2000 (108 pages). The Canadian Mennonite University, Winnipeg, has a copy. The touching memoirs of Heinrich Wiens (1917–1925).
  • Erinnerungen Aus Meine Leben, by Margaret Schmidt nee Wiens (1898-1994), unpublished. Contains two installments: 1983 and early 1990’s. Written by the sister to my great-grandmother, Katharina Bergmann nee Wiens.
  • Exodus from Russia: Life Story Sketch, by Anna Dick nee Wiens, another sister to my great-grandmother, Katharina Bergmann nee Wiens. A copy is housed at the Mennonite Heritage Centre, Winnipeg, in the Dick-Schmidt Family Collection, Volume 4368:21.
  • Rueckenau, by Leona Wiebe Gislason, 1999. Excellent history of the Russian village where Abram P. and Katharina Bergmann lived.
  • Schoenfeld, by Gerhard Toews (translated into English by Eric Enns). A copy is housed at the Heritage Centre, Winnipeg, (DK 508.95.S36 T69a 2000). History of the Schoenfeld Colony where Gerhard and Sarah Wiens lived until 1904.
